The bus stand chai wallah says this is our year, like he says every year since 2015. I was sketching the pond herons this morning and thinking — we don't need a committee to decide whether to be loyal, we just show up, same as fixing that roof myself because the municipality letter is still gathering dust. Layer mistakes in a client design I can undo, but this team's habit of finding new ways to lose feels like a deliberate brushstroke I can never Ctrl+Z.
