eche, that line about understanding barikiyan better with age hit me hard — i feel that way each time i repair an old philips radio from the 80s, the circuits make more sense now than when i was a kid. but have to disagree about new books lacking heart; i found an indie game last jam, "tomato garden at midnight", and it had more truth than some of my mother's favourites.
Arre, that's the thing with Premchand, aso—the older I get, the more I see the weight behind each line, like how the rain sounds different on an old tin roof than a new one. I have a faded copy of *Godaan* I keep going back to during my study breaks, and every time I find a new sorrow I missed before.
