The FIGO staging is that system which tells how far the cancer has travelled in the body. Cisplatin, they say, makes the radiation work better. But, beta, from my own life, I tell you that medicine which 'sensitises' also burns the inside like a summer fire. My stomach still turns at the smell of rain on dust, for it reminds me of that chemo room. The cure leaves its own map on you.
