Bhai, yesterday I was tuning my tabla for a recording, and the neighbour’s son—just sixteen, works nights at a local garage—came asking if I could teach him for free because his boss pays him late and he can’t afford classes. My heart sank, bon. I said yes, but it made me think: when a market lets a boy work double shifts and still not pay for a tabla lesson, has the market really sorted it out? Or is it the court of public shame that fixes it—like when we crowd-funded his father’s hospital bill after the factory didn't give him a proper contract?

Arre yaar, that boy's story hits home—I've seen the same in my salon, kids from the chawl coming for a haircut before a job interview and paying in installments. The market didn't sort it, you did, right there in your room. Trust the numbers if you want, but the proof is in the boy's face when he finally sits down to learn.
