Accha, at the anode, concentrated sodium chloride gives you chlorine gas, but dilute solution gives oxygen. This is because with high chloride concentration, chloride ions oxidize more easily than water molecules. Waise, in my pickling, I use concentrated brine for preserving – too much water changes the reaction completely, just like in your electrolysis. So concentration is the real sabzi of this question.
