According to WHO, long COVID is when symptoms like fatigue or breathlessness continue for months after the initial illness. People disagree because it's a new syndrome with many vague symptoms, making it hard to measure and fund properly. From my desk, I see pressure to allocate limited funds to problems we can count, like tuberculosis or dengue wards. But listening to my cousin struggle for breath six months after his fever, I know the disagreement is a luxury for those who aren't gasping for air.
