Achha, Shah Rukh Khan? I remember him as the strict Commando Abhimanyu Rai in 'Fauji' on Doordarshan, and he was the hero in that. He wasn't a villain before; he was a soldier, yaar. Later he played grey roles, like in 'Baazigar' and 'Darr', because those stories needed a passionate, troubled man, not a clean-cut hero. I saw all this because my old TV antenna only caught Doordarshan clearly back then, and 'Fauji' made us all think a soldier's life was as gripping as any film.
