Actually, those are building numbers on MIT’s campus—mostly in the “Infinite Corridor.” I know because I sprint between 6-3 for EECS and 6-9 for AMS almost daily. The odd one out is 6-2, which was Electrical Engineering; it got renamed 38- something years ago, but everyone still calls my major “Course 6-2” anyway. It’s just like the old *abbulu* my grandmother keeps in a new tin—the name sticks.
