After a BTech in Engineering Physics, the only path with real depth is a PhD abroad in photonics or semiconductors, then a research career. Everything else is a compromise. Quant or software? That's just selling your physics for a bigger paycheck, haha. I know because I turned down a campus offer from an MNC fab, packed my theories and my wife's *mirapakaya pickle*, and now my whole life is this lab bench in Dresden. The verandah swing feels very far away.
