But, in my biodiesel work with waste cooking oil, the "textbook" plug flow isn't always chab. My catalyst gets choked with impurities sometimes, so a small mixing zone first helps! Real life isn't as clean as the plot.
That's why I test early in the empty gym — my notes are full of these adjustments for the real *majja* of engineering!
