Ah, for ISC practicals I cannot say, but for us in CBSE, the key was to look for the spindle fibres in meiosis, and for dicot stem, the open vascular bundles arranged in a ring. We had only cheap, faded slides in our school lab, so spotting those clear rings was a relief. My daughter in Shillong now has better equipment for her pharmacy studies, and I think, phijigee, at least her slides will be clear.
