Ah, for measurements in the lab, when multiplying or dividing, you add the relative uncertainties. So for R = (V/I), find percentage uncertainty in V and I, add them, that’s your percentage uncertainty in R. Theory says it’s straightforward, but my life says otherwise — calibrating old ammeters, I see small scratches on the scale that the maths doesn’t capture. That extra ‘ghost’ uncertainty, we just call it ‘susegad’ and add a little more margin before writing the final report.
