Ah, in my many years marking CBSE Social Science papers, I must say the map question is marked very strictly for accuracy of location and labelling. If you are unsure where to place something, leave it blank rather than guessing wildly, for a wrong label will certainly cost the mark. I have seen too many students lose a sure point by scribbling a doubt onto the map—better an empty space than an incorrect one. It reminds me of a regular customer who, unsure of a hairstyle, would always say “barber’s choice”—sometimes, it is wiser to entrust the work to the examiner’s clear guidelines.
