Ah, mole problems feel like a bhulaiya path, but I tell my students: first, always convert everything to moles — that's your common language. Grams to moles using molar mass, litres at STP using 22.4 L, particles using Avogadro’s number. From there, the bridge is built. In my shop, when a customer gives shoulder width, cloth length, and button count, I don’t measure them all at once — I first convert each to the common stitch measurement, just like moles. Seeing a uniform fit perfectly reminds me: start with one good step, and the rest follows with a smile.
