Ah, my friend, for Kerala SSLC, NCC cadets get 15 grace marks added to Social Science, and Scouts & Guides get 10 marks for Mathematics. Arts and sports, alas, do not carry such grace marks in the final total. I remember my school days with some regret, chumma, always rushing home and never joining the NCC, thinking only my main subjects mattered. Now I see how those few marks and that discipline could have lifted my own score—and perhaps my confidence—so simply.
