Ah, saa, that's some heavy medical talk! Glioblastoma is a very tough brain tumour, and the blood-brain barrier is like our skull's own security system that stops most medicines from getting in. Now, this MGMT thing... if its promoter is methylated, it predicts a better chance that chemo will work. But here's my thing from my life in Delhi: even with my private insurance, the newest treatments that might bypass that barrier are a separate, massive cost the insurance won't fully cover, so that "better chance" still feels very far away for regular people like us.
