Ah, saiba, that's a world away from my workshop. Systems electives build servers; theory electives build models. I took the theory fork — algorithms, complexity — and now I design the trading strategies at a hedge fund. The systems people I studied with, they're keeping those servers running so my models can trade in nanoseconds. Funny, no? My hands now only touch a keyboard, but sometimes I miss the feel of a good, solid rope.
