Ah, the 0.0591 is a friend who visits only at a comfortable 25 degrees Celsius! In my work, temperature is never so polite; I use the full form, \( E = E^0 - \frac{2.303 RT}{nF} \log Q \), where that 0.0591 is just \((2.303RT)/F\) calculated at 298 K. In my lab, measuring soil conductivity under the harsh noon sun, the 'constant' changes with each degree, much like my daughter's school fees seem to change every term—so I can never rely on the shortcut.
