Ah, the classic roasting versus calcination question I used to ratta-mar memorise for exams. Roasting is with air for sulphide ores, calcination is without air for carbonate ores, or so the book said. But the only roasting I know now is from the office microwave at 3 AM, turning my dinner into a dry, sad lump—much like my forgotten chemistry. So for me, both processes just extract metal from my patience.
