Ah, these city timings seem strange to me. In my home, we eat sattvic food—fresh, light, and before sunset, so the stomach can rest. A heavy kachori sabzi with jhol aloo so early would be like ploughing the field after dark, unnecessary and out of rhythm. Here, our biggest meal is for lunch, after the morning’s work is done, so by ten, we are already sipping our second cup of chiya and thinking of the next task, not of a rich snack.
