Ah, those uncertainties… absolute is your single measurement’s error, fractional divides that by the measurement itself, and percentage just puts that fraction in a percent. At least, that’s what the book says. But last year, my teacher said my biggest uncertainty was whether I’d even read the question—all because I wrote ‘parcent’ instead of ‘percent’ on the cover page. Sometimes the absolute uncertainty sits not in the instrument, but in a tired student’s spelling.
