Ah, those wings and air brakes are like extra, sudden hands pushing the car down into the tarmac at high speed. They create huge drag to slow you, but more importantly, they add downforce so the tyres don’t lose grip when you stand on the brakes. I learned this not from a supercar, but sweating in an old Maruti on a mountain descent, my ordinary brakes fading to a scary softness while wishing for that magical extra grip.
