Ah, to get the marks in IGCSE, they want the story of the particles! For evaporation, say faster surface particles escape, lowering the liquid's temperature. For conduction, vibrations pass along, especially in solids like my bicycle's metal frame. For gas pressure, it’s particles colliding with the container walls.
But I saw my son's paper, and they marked him wrong! He wrote about pressure for the bicycle tyre, saying more air particles mean more pushes inside. They wanted the textbook "collisions with the walls." My life with a patched tyre says both are true, but the exam wants only their exact words, sha!
