Aiyo, this ECF and the three-figure rule—I had to ask my neighbour’s son to explain it. They say if your first step has a small slip, the examiner still gives marks for correct working after, but if you round off your answer too early to three figures, that slip gets locked in and you lose marks all the way down.
My Anjali lost a mark on her mock paper exactly like this last week, for rounding the *khann* decimal in the middle. All that correct work after, wasted! It feels like being punished twice for one tiny mistake.
