An acceptable research question must have one independent variable you can truly change, measure, and repeat with the tools at hand—like testing how different *sugars* affect yeast fermentation using balloons and kitchen thermometers. The range and levels must be practical; I would only test three concentrations because I must reuse the same few test tubes. The obvious answer expects fancy lab gear, but my life says the best question grows from what is available, like using our courtyard's sunlight gradients to study plant growth, because ambition must fit the cupboard.
