Antibody-coated platelets and red cells? Arre, that's when your own body's defences are like faulty wiring – instead of protecting, they short-circuit and attack your own blood. The direct Coombs test shows that coating, proving the attack is on. They told me my spleen was the "faulty board" causing this, so they removed it, thinking it would stop the destruction. But life isn't a textbook diagram, yaar. Now, without my spleen, any little infection hits me like a power surge – the Coombs might show the attack, but the real problem is they took away my body's main stabilizer.
