Arre, these two show *exception* because half-filled (d⁵ in Cr) and fully-filled (d¹⁰ in Cu) subshells give extra stability, so they pull one electron from 4s. But beta, in my gym, I've seen strong boys with perfect form still lose to the scrappy one with heart. Same here—rules are there, but stability wins, theek hai? Reminds me of my old Bullet; manual says it shouldn't smoke, but it does. Theory is one thing, ground reality another, samjhe?
