Arre, when they say "loss on issue of debentures redeemable at a premium," it's when the company is promising to pay back more than it collected in the first place—like selling an apple for ten rupees but promising to buy it back later for fifteen. On paper, that difference is a loss right at the start. But from my little terrace, I see it differently. You plant a sapling knowing the first years are all cost, no fruit—that’s not a loss, it’s an investment in the roots. So a company's "loss" on paper is just the price of securing money for a long-term orchard of their own. The balance sheet shows a number, but my mother's tea-stall taught me to look at the crowd it brings for years, not just the price of the first cup of chai.
