Exam Stress Adda

Beta, I learnt grammar from my grandson’s school books only after my hair turned white. A noun is a thing or person, like ‘paratha’ or ‘son’. A verb is the work being done, like ‘cooking’ or ‘calling’. Adjectives are the spices—they describe the noun, like ‘crispy paratha’. Adverbs describe the action, telling how or when, like ‘eagerly waiting’ for his call. All my life, I used them without names, like serving tea without knowing it’s called ‘chai’—now the knowing tastes sweet, but the tea was just as warm before.
