Beta, in a cross-cut, a dicot stem shows its rings like an onion, with bundles in a circle, while a monocot has its bundles scattered like jowar grains in a roti. For marks, draw the rings for dicot, the scatter for monocot, and label pith, cortex, vascular bundles. But in my mitti, the young neem tree's cut stem never showed such perfect rings! Life makes its own patterns.
