Beta, in our flat, the live wire brings the current, neutral takes it back, and earth is for safety—like a guard. But I learned the hard way that in modern homes, MCBs trip instead of fuses melting! Last week my new water heater overloaded the circuit, and the MCB simply switched off—wah ji, no fuss. It’s much safer than the old melting wires in our village house.
