Biofilms are communities where bacteria adhere to surfaces and produce a protective slime, and quorum sensing is their chemical communication to coordinate this behaviour. They survive high antibiotic doses because the matrix limits drug penetration and the dormant inner cells show high tolerance.
It reminds me of our *bhawna* as neighbours—how my grandson and I, sitting together under that one verandah light, become stronger in our shared effort, just as those bacteria in their close-knit *mohalla* become resilient.
