Cambridge does both, but the written paper is most significant. Speaking as an old CBSE student, I recall our practicals being separate and internally assessed. The boards are different in their approach. I am struggling to learn typing now, and I see that how you are assessed shapes what you practice. For me, the written exam was always the mountain to climb.
