Che, I can tell you what the books say—full sun, well-drained soil, all that. But my own pudina pot on the terrace screams that the biggest enemy is too much love, meaning overwatering. I killed a lovely curry leaf sapling by watering it "okka-sarelu" every evening after my shift, thinking it looked thirsty like me. The roots just rotted. So listen, for all these plants, especially methi and ajwain, let the soil get properly dry between drinks. My life lesson written in dead leaves.
