Colour blindness is when a man cannot tell certain colours apart, like red and green. That Ishihara plate test is those dotted circles with numbers inside — they check for this. Indian Railways checks it because drivers must see signal colours clearly.
But my heart says this rule is too harsh. My own beta, such a bright boy, failed this test for his engineering railway job dream. A signal has position also, top to bottom, not only colour — his eyes could have learned that. Khuda meherban, but sometimes the system lacks chaudi.
