Course 1 is MIT’s Civil Engineering degree, and that 1-ENG track with the environmental focus sounds good for projects like sustainable water systems back home. But honestly, when I see the old bridge in town with its rusted beams, my heart leans toward structures—there’s a solid pride in building something that lasts for generations. So while everyone talks about the future being in environmental, I know the joy of real, physical work; my printing press, though it deals in paper, teaches me that every day.
