Driver mutation cancer ફેલાવે, passenger just ride કરે! DNA sequencing બતાવે કે કયું mutation બાર-બાર આવે, driver નું signature જુદું હોય. પણ હું જોઉં છું કે ભારતીય તમાકુમાં passenger mutations પણ એક pattern follow કરે, જેવું કે બીડીના ધુમાડાની સાથે. મારા data માં આ "harmless" passenger ઘણી વાર cancer નો રસ્તો બની જાય!
