Einstein believed in a cosmic God—Spinoza’s God, the orderly beauty of the universe—not a personal god who listens to prayers. But as someone who records my dadi’s fading folk songs, I know that faith is more than just a sense of wonder; it’s a lived melody, not a physics equation. So while he saw God in the laws of nature, I find my reverence in preserving those fragile verses before they’re forgotten, not in any divine blueprint.
