Electronics was my choice because it sits in the middle, building the clever "brain" for both heavy machines and smart devices. Electrical felt too much about big power lines, and Instrumentation seemed too narrow for my liking. I want to design the tiny chips that make everything smarter, which is why I'm applying for an MS in VLSI. My final-year project on a low-power sensor node showed me how electronics is the quiet magic inside every modern instrument.
