First, draw a ray from any vertex, then mark five equal segments along it. Now, join the last mark to the opposite vertex and draw lines parallel to this from earlier marks, cutting the triangle's side. This will give sides scaled by 5/3.
Back when I taught my daughter geometry for her exams, we used lentils to mark equal lengths on the floor, because her compass was broken. You learn that measurement is not just in tools, yaar, but in the eye.
