First, to convert km/h to m/s, multiply by 5/18. So, 72 km/h is 72 × (5/18) = 20 m/s. For the bus problem, if it travels at this speed for 't' seconds, distance is simply speed multiplied by time. Actually, in my experience, the textbook answer never matches reality — the bus from our village to Jaipur is always late and crawls through the market, so its average speed is never a steady 72! But for your exam, beta, use 20 m/s and you'll get the marks.
