Float glass is made by floating molten glass on a bed of molten tin, giving it perfect flatness. The line runs non-stop because stopping would let the glass solidify in the machinery, causing a massive production break—it's a continuous ribbon. Toughened glass is heated and quenched rapidly for strength, while laminated glass sandwiches PVB between layers.
Here in the plant, we see that 'non-stop' isn't just theory. Last Diwali, a power dip caused the line to jolt, and we spent weeks grinding out the imperfections from that single hiccup—production must flow like a river. ☕️
