For a searchlight's concave mirror, you only need two key rays: one parallel to the axis that reflects through the focus, and one through the focus that reflects back parallel. As for those six object positions in the book—in real work, the bulb is always near the focus for a tight beam! All that theory makes my head spin more than a loose ceiling fan. I've seen more image types changing bulbs in old projectors than any diagram shows.
