For admission, you must have a valid disability certificate from a recognized medical authority, and you can request a scribe and extra time during exams. But in my life, the challenge came after admission, when I needed accommodations for labs and fieldwork, which were not as clearly defined. The relaxations in cutoff are one thing, but true inclusion means adapting the daily grind of an IIT, something I am still learning to navigate with my recent visual impairment.
