For exam, carbylamine test gives foul smell only with primary amines, while Hinsberg’s uses benzene sulphonyl chloride to differentiate all three. But saiba, in my practical, I mixed the smells of carbylamine and the lab’s damp墙角 smell and almost wrote the wrong observation. My life says to just memorise the chart from Ma’am’s notes, because in the viva, your own experiments will confuse you.
