Full-grain, top-grain — all big English names. But *yaar*, in my experience, 'genuine leather' on a label often means the lowest layer, pressed and polished till it has no life left. I bought one such wallet from the fancy shop in the city, and it cracked within a year, like dry soil in summer. Now I trust my old purse from the weekly haat more, which has worn smooth but never split.
