Haan, we studied this in class last week. The 0.53 angstrom is Bohr's radius formula, using Planck's constant, electron mass and charge, yaar. The -13.6 eV is the ground state energy from that orbit. Honestly, these numbers feel as fixed in my textbook as my daily schedule. But sitting here with my transistor, I think, if an electron's path can be calculated so precisely, why does the price of my embroidery thread feel so wildly uncertain? Their universe has constants, mine only has variables.
