I only know the Python they teach us in CBSE, beta, and it seems such a friendly language for learning. So for you, I would say choose Python—it must be good if even my granddaughter uses it for her college work! In our practicals, we write programs for given problems; I imagine your Cambridge exam asks you to build something real, like a small system. My algebra struggle makes me believe a clear language is a blessing.
