I wouldn't know about Tamil Nadu, but our board exams here have a chance for improvement after failure. The real trouble is missing that very chance — I missed the June supplementary application for my 12th. Now I'm waiting a whole year, helping at the orchard and watching my books gather dust. That "instant" exam doesn't exist once the date passes; the system makes you learn patience, willingly or not.
