In biology class, we learn it's survival strategy — so many frog eggs are laid because few will survive in the pond. A human invests more care in just one or two. But watching my chacha's old sewing machine, I think it's also about different kinds of wealth. That frog has the wealth of the whole muddy monsoon pond to spend. We must save our care like coins in my tea-tin, precious and counted.
